“We stayed there last July for a week and we had a very good apartment with a good sea view. The bedroom and living area were large and the kitchen very good. Both bedroom and lounge had patio doors out to a decent sized balcony, but don’t leave your breakfast out while you’re getting the coffee as the birds will have it! The pool is excellent and there is a gate to the beach. Large bar with some evening entertainment and also a circular restaurant with good food.Plenty of restaurants very close, some on the beach and some at the southern end of the Strip.There is a “noddy” train which runs along the road every 15 or 20 minutes to the Old Town, which is full of atmosphere and lots more bars and restaurants. Have a good time!”

My family and I (children aged 5 and visited oura view beach club on 12th june 2010 for one week. We were lucky enough to stay within one of the 2 bedroomed infinity apartments. The apartment was spacious and very clean. The main attraction for us was the pool which for the children and ourselves was ideal, there was a resturant within the pool area which was slightly expensive but due to its location well worth the money. The surrounding area was exactly what you would expect, lots of bars and resturants. The sister hotel to the oura view was a few minutes walk and had plenty of activities for both children and adults.

There was a family group of 11 and we had 3 apartments. Apartments were spotlessly clean and well equipped for self catering. Full size freezer which was useful for the lollies! It was unfortunate that our apartment was opposite a fair which was only there for august, lots of noise between 8pm-1am. The pool complex is lovely, gorgeous large infinity pool with a slide that comes out in a lower pool. Separate pool for young children which is only a foot deep, ideal for little ones. The only problem was the number of guests reserving sun lounges and then not appearing until 3-4pm after a day at the beach:( Do think they should reserve the sunbed near the kiddie pool for those families with young children though. Lollies by the pool are double the price in local shops. There isn’t a very good supermarket nearby so it was difficult to self cater! The restaurants on the strip were pretty samey and a bit hit and miss with the quality. Would reccommend th sizzling stone restaurant nearby. Overall a good family holiday, shame there were no real childrens facilities at oura view although they did have a kids club at clube praia oura, the sister hotel. Very obvious timeshare activity.

My name is Danielle and I came home from the Paraiso de albufeira in Algarve today. I am 14 years old and this was my first holiday abroad with my family and I honestly could not have asked for more. I was self catering so my family and I went out for food to eat or went to the local supermarket called Modelo which wasn’t even a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The pool was very big and the rooms were really spacious and big. My room was facing the main road which I prefered because it was better for sleeping at nights because you couldn’t hear the noise from the pool. I stayed for 2 weeks and wanted to stay longer because it was absolutely brilliant. I’m thinking about going back next year, I really want to go back so i’ll have to see what way things go. There was lots of entertainment on during the day where you got the chance to win yourself a superstar certificate or t-shirt. I honestly do not know why people are giving this hotel bad reviews because I can’t even imagine anything which was wrong with this hotel. The hotel was a 15minute walk from the strip and a 20minute walk from the old town. The staff were unbelievably friendly, the staff at reception were very helpful and the bar staff which worked at clube glam and esta noite were really nice. If you were to ask one of the waiters for a photograph they were more than happy to let you take a couple. The thomas cook entertainers worked all day every day to make sure everyone had a really nice time. The younger children’s entertainment was from 8-9 then adult games from 9-10 then their main show at 10:15. I want to say a big massive thank you to the waiters Taras, Rafael and Diago for being so friendly and being such good company and easy to talk too. You all deserve a raise I hope to see you all some time soon and I also want to say a massive thank you to the Thomas Cook entertainers, Kazza, Jonny, Lee and Kim for keeping me and my family and friends entertained all day and night, you were absolutely amazing. I didn’t dislike anything about this hotel. If you were looking for a holiday never to forget, this is the place to go too. I had the time of my life and I’m never going to forget it!!! AMAZING EXPERIENCE AT PARAISO DE ALBUFEIRA!

Paraiso de Albufeira was an amazing hotel complex with so much to do we didn’t see our kids (14 & 7) from the time they got up until it was time to eat and then they were gone again. The entertainment was 2nd to none and we’ve holidayed in a lot of resorts. This one though gets top marks. Everyone was catered for from adults to teenagers to children. There was something for everyone to do. The breakfast buffet was different everyday and always hot. the location was excellent, it was centered between the old town and the strip. The hotel also had free shuttle bus to the old town and the beach a few times a day. Staff were very professional and always helpful. The apartments were huge, very spacious and clean. We are already booked to go back again next yr!!!
